SFT ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Extraordinary sanctuary is facing one of the worst crises in its history.
Floods and mudslides have devastated the refuge.
Dogs (including 21 who are wheelchair-bound), cats and donkeys are in PERIL!
PLEASE, HELP!
Please, don’t set aside this URGENT message. Donate if you possibly can. Lives WILL be saved!
For years, Sally and her team at the Tangier Sanctuary (SFT) in Morocco have been quietly performing miracles.
They rescue animals nobody else will help - paralyzed dogs abandoned on the streets, injured animals left to die, donkeys and cats with nowhere else to go. Many arrive broken, terrified, and close to death. But at SFT they are given something they may have never before known: SAFETY and LOVE.
Today, more than 130 rescued animals call the sanctuary home. Some cannot walk. Some require constant medical care. All of them are alive because Sally refused to give up on them.
But now this extraordinary sanctuary is facing one of the worst crises in its history.
Two powerful storms have devastated the property.
Floodwaters swallowed outdoor areas. The cat house was flooded. Mudslides tore across the grounds. Animals had to be rushed to safety in the middle of the storm.
What was once a refuge now looks like a disaster zone.
Among the most vulnerable residents are 21 paralyzed “wheelie” (wheelchair-bound) dogs who depend on carts and constant care. When the floods hit, they had to be evacuated into the sanctuary villa. Now they are living inside bedrooms while the team provides round-the-clock care - washing bedding constantly, preventing infections, and keeping the dogs clean and safe.
Outside, thick mud still covers the property.
During the storm, the team spent two hours digging Caramel the donkey out of a mudslide that nearly buried him alive.
Food supplies are running dangerously low. The damaged road is making deliveries difficult.
And after floods, another danger has appeared.
Parasites. Ticks. Fleas. Mange.
Without protection, disease could sweep through the sanctuary’s dogs. Sally urgently needs Bravecto protection tablets to keep the animals safe.
The cost for the emergency supply is $11,500 (£8,600… €10,000), a huge burden for a sanctuary already struggling to recover from the storm.
This is why Animals First Aid is sending this URGENT emergency appeal.
Your support will help RUSH SUPPORT for parasite protection, food for the animals, supplies for the paralyzed dogs, and repairs to restore the sanctuary.
Sally and her team have saved hundreds of animals who had nowhere else to go. Now they need our help. Please donate to enable AFA to stand with them today. Together we can help this remarkable sanctuary recover - and ensure every rescued animal at SFT remains safe and protected.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
