By Donating this campaign you will help Author Organization for Creative Impact (OCI)

As you know, Animals First Aid supports trusted local partners in remote communities where animals have little or no access to veterinary care. One of those partners - Organisation for Creative Impact (OCI) in Tanzania - just reached out for help in the midst of a growing crisis.

In the rural community of Berege, a severe parasitic skin disease is spreading rapidly among dogs. Dozens are already infected. Their fur is falling out. Skin is raw and infected. Many scratch until they bleed. Without treatment, the disease will continue to spread - puppies are most susceptible.

Simba is one of the dogs who is suffering miserable pain.

Simba belongs to a small livestock keeper named Mafufu, who depends on his animals to survive - they guard his livestock and protect his home. Simba was once healthy and playful. Now his body is covered in painful sores, and he is in constant distress. Mafufu loves him deeply - but simply cannot afford veterinary care.

We have seen what your compassion can accomplish. Earlier this year, you helped us provide financial support to OCI for emergency feed for almost 500 donkeys during a severe shortage. Almost all of them survived because our generous supporters enabled us to act fast.

Now, dogs’ lives depend on your compassion.

OCI is ready to treat every infected animal - but they cannot do it without help. Every $35 (£26 or €30) AFA is able to provide to OCA can treat one dog. Larger donations allow treatment of multiple animals and help stop the outbreak before it spreads further.

If we respond quickly, the suffering can be contained. Lives can be saved.
If we wait, many more animals will suffer.

I can’t emphasize this enough - many dogs are already in agony. Simba is just one of them. The infection is spreading fast. It is uncontrolled.

Please, donate now and help stop this outbreak before it grows completely out of control.

P.S. This disease will not stop on its own. Every day without treatment means more dogs will be infected, suffer and die. Your gift today can stop the outbreak while it is still possible.
