For years, Animals First Aid has stood shoulder to shoulder with our long-time partner in Morocco, the Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir (SARA) to protect dogs hit by cars, abandoned on the streets, and left behind in the city animal centre with almost no hope.

Now, everything comes down to one date: 22 March.

On that day, SARA will leave the city centre. Not because they want to. But because an agreement meant to protect the dogs was not respected by authorities - and staying would mean allowing suffering to continue.

Before they move elsewhere to help animals, they have one final, urgent mission: Sterilise as many dogs as humanly possible before time runs out.

Every day between now and 22 March matters.

Every day lost means more unsterilised dogs. More unwanted litters. More puppies born into hunger, disease, fear, and abandonment.

Thanks to compassionate supporters, $5,100 (€4,292 or £3,700) has already been raised, allowing 42 dogs to be sterilised and removed so far. But many remain. Each sterilisation costs approximately $120 (€100 or £87). And each one prevents years of suffering before it ever begins.

This is not symbolic. This is not abstract. 

This is math.

One unsterilised female dog can produce dozens of puppies in her lifetime. Those puppies reproduce. The cycle explodes. Sterilisation is the single most powerful form of rescue there is.

But after 22 March, this opportunity disappears.

Once SARA leaves, they will no longer have access to these dogs. They will no longer be able to intervene. The window closes - permanently. We cannot get this time back. We cannot undo puppies born next month because we waited this month. That is why we are asking - urgently - for your help right now.
