Last year, Animals First Aid provided essential support to the Liberia Animal Welfare & Conservation Society (LAWCS) as they helped dogs and cats suffering almost completely out of sight. Thanks to compassionate supporters like you, animals received treatment they otherwise never would have had. Sick animals were cared for. Hungry animals were fed. And communities began learning that animals deserve kindness and protection too.

Recently, Morris Darbo, Executive Director of LAWCS, wrote to thank Animals First Aid donors for making that work possible.

Today, LAWCS needs help again. This time, the need is even more URGENT!

LAWCS is trying to reach rural communities in Liberia’s Nimba County, where many dogs and cats have never received veterinary care of any kind. No vaccines. No deworming. No treatment for wounds or infections. No relief from parasites. And often, there is no understanding that animals feel pain, fear, and hunger just like we do.

For many of these animals, illness is simply how life ends. A puppy weakened by worms slowly fades away. A cat with an infected wound hides until it is too late. A frightened dog suffering from preventable disease becomes thinner, weaker, and increasingly unwanted.

LAWCS wants to change all of this. So do we!

This is exactly the kind of work Animals First Aid was created to support.

The LAWCS’ team is preparing rural outreach clinics that will provide veterinary treatment, emergency feeding support, parasite control, vaccinations, and humane education in places where there may be no clinic anywhere nearby.

Every vaccinated dog is safer. Every treated wound eases suffering. Every outreach visit teaches compassion to children and families who may never have seen animals cared for before.

But LAWCS cannot continue without help.

They urgently need support for medicines, vaccines, deworming treatments, emergency food, transport, fuel, and veterinary outreach supplies.

We must quickly raise at least $5,000

to help LAWCS continue reaching animals who otherwise have no lifeline at all.

- $35 will help provide basic treatment, deworming, or emergency food.
- $50 will help deliver vaccines and medicine to dogs and cats who have never been protected.
- $100 will help support a rural outreach clinic where many animals can be treated in a single visit.
